Think Green

Just had a delivery of  yarn from England ... it is new and exciting and follows the "Green" trend that seems to be everywhere right now.  We've had bamboo, corn and hemp and now they are moving right through the farmyard.  The Eggsellent line is made primarily from crushed eggshells, and comes in the most beautiful soft eggshell pastels.  Soft and drapey Chick, the dk weight will be perfect for any spring knitting.

Waldron Grove Alpacas

Suri alpaca fleece is among the finest in all the world.  It's a luxurious fiber, similar to sheep's wool in many ways, but lighter, silkier, warmer and lanolin-free, making it nearly hypo-allergenic.

Made right in our neighborhood in Elgin, Illinois by Susan Neri-Waldron, come and sample these fabulous fibers and feel the softness in natural hand-dyes.  Susan uses these same fibers to create her own unique artwork.

Looking for Some Fun
Spring-Time Knitting?

Try Tahki's Cotton Classic which has arrived by the ton.  Our spinner was looking oh-so-bare, but just like the trees in spring, it is starting to bloom with every color under the sun for baby, summer and household projects.

Use Cotton Classic to make many of the springy tops that feature in the latest Tahki pattern book - Terra Collection.  This collection of easy and comfortable pullovers, cardigans, wraps and vests reflect the eco-friendly properties of the Terra Collection yarns with which they were designed. You can do something good for the environment and yourself at the same time.
